I've been thinking about this alot over the years. I see kids all the time who worry me with how dumb they can be...and how much they don't care.

Obama To Increase Infrastructure Spending
According to the White House, the US has about $2TRILLION dollars in infrastructure problems needing to be met. So, the BIG O is planning more infrastructure spending.
But that’s not even the fascinating part. I mean, after all it’s just more spending by the spendingest group ever to occupy Washington right? “Ho Hum.”
No, the fascinating part is the idiocy of the people advocating this to the President.
According to Mark Zandi (economic advisor to the Big O) on CBS’ “Face The Nation” the cost of this latest scheme will be passed along to businesses. "He's going to have to take some of the corporate tax benefits away to pay for it. It will be interesting to see how businesses balance that," he said.
I know how businesses will handle it. HIGHER PRICES. Corporations DO NOT PAY HIGHER TAXES…WE DO IT FOR THEM at the register.
But even THAT is not the most shocking thing said on “Face The Nation” yesterday. No, my favorite was Laura Tyson (economic advisor to the Big O) who said “The national debt is not a problem.” And that we can afford to spend MORE on infrastructure, because we’re bigger economically than we were in 1968.
So, because we’re a bigger economy than 40 years ago, we can spend more on infrastructure, regardless of the debt? Really?
This is AMAZING. These people have the President’s ear and HE’S LISTENING. Just look at this morning’s headlines if you don’t believe me.

Summer Of Recovery III
The “Summer of Recovery” marches on!
The jobs report had an INCREASE in unemployment as thousands of census jobs came to an end and those people went back to looking for work.
Meanwhile the Joe and O show are going back to Ohio to tout the economic recovery that they claim is happening everywhere in this country.

Liberals vs. Conservatives
Found an EXCELLENT quote regarding the difference between conservatives and liberals.
It’s from a New Zealander who was commenting on the works of Ayn Rand.
“In recent times in New Zealand I have come to learn that it is easier to engage right wingers in discussions of liberty than it is left wingers.”
“Left wingers lack the ability to move from unconscious incompetence (not knowing you are ignorant on a subject) to conscious incompetence (recognizing there are knowledge deficits). That is, they exhibit strongly the Dunning-Kruger effect (aka the Homer Simpson effect) which in simple terms is that even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, they believe that their skills or knowledge on a subject are superior to everyone else.”
Well put.
